My poetic name ORIGA means "a woman weaving elegantly" in Japanese. Luckily, this poetic name is a literal translation of my Russian name Olga (there is no L-sound in Japanese). This name in hiragana is carved on my seal which you'll see in the paintings. I am an artist sumi-e and ikebana, haikai and waka writer, translator, editor, publisher, and a perpetual student. In this LJ, I hold a biannual international bilingual haiku contest "Calico Cat" wiht my original sumi-e as prizes.
