Difficult to find words to adequately express the feeling of deepest sadness and grief... All my love and prayers go to Japanese people. I love Japan now more than ever.    --    Трудно подобрать слова, чтоб высказать эту глубокую печаль и скорбь.... Посылаю японскому народу всю свою любовь и молитвы. then back again.
Once I blow on the wick,
my prayer rolls

and disperses into the heavens.

Watery Shadow

Where the playground
stood there is nothing.

The schoolyard is empty,
except for a flock of gulls
and the caw of crows
that circles the perimeter.

Only the watery shadow
of a tree swings slightly
across this field of mud.

Old family photographs,
people I have never met,
are beneath the rafters
of a fallen home, an up-
turned car, a piece of
sidewalk...the smiles
of loved ones - remembered.

Where the playground
stood, there is nothing
except a flash of memories,
glinting, here and there,
in the sun.
